Sheraton Hotel started way back in 1937. Its founders, Robert Monroe and Ernest Henderson bought their first hotel in Springfield, Massachusetts. The hotel in Springfield attracted a large crowd and became one of the favorite places of many people. Because of the roaring success of the first hotel, the founders of expanded their business.
Two years after the first hotel was established, the founders of the company added yet another three hotels to the company. The additional three hotels were all located in Boston and like the first hotel, these three also became successful. Soon, Sheraton Hotel started expanding its territories well outside of the State of Massachusetts. Sheraton Hotel soon has properties from Florida to Maine.
After 10 years of operations, the company has amassed properties in many parts of the United States. The name Sheraton also became a byword when it comes to good quality service. Due to its popularity, became the first hotel chain to be admitted to the list in the New York Stock Exchange. By this time, the company has become a legend in the industry. Around 1949, the company started its expansion abroad. It bought two Canadian hotel chains and made Sheraton Hotel an international entity. From then on, there was no stopping Sheraton Hotel from conquering the international hotel industry.
This has made it possible for Sheraton Hotels to provide it's cleints a very pleasant stay abroad.
